Whether or not you are a lover of the kind of heavy, ‘paranormal’ rock that trio Fletcher Dervish unashamedly revel in, it’s the feverish imagination that lies behind it that impresses.
Instant Death Box is like a ritual, an exorcism – undoubtedly aided by such ominous track titles as ‘Lord of Chaos’ and ‘Sober Cannibal’. However, despite such rich tribal inflections, it’s also entirely possible that only those fans of rocks more sinister side will truly appreciate it. But, with tracks as furiously charged as ‘Ringtone Massacre’, there is whole lot for said fans to go at.
